How much storage space do you need?

Start with what needs to fit inside. The dimensions can then be adjusted around your equipment, access route and available space.

Compact storage

Usually suitable for tools, garden equipment and smaller household items.

8ft × 6ft+ Approx. 2.4m × 1.8m+

Bike and tool storage

Provides space for bicycles, power tools and larger pieces of garden equipment.

10ft × 8ft+ Approx. 3.0m × 2.4m+

Multi-purpose storage

Usually suitable for several bicycles, machinery or mixed equipment storage.

12ft × 8ft+ Approx. 3.6m × 2.4m+

Machinery storage

Provides greater space for motorcycles, ride-on machinery or commercial equipment.

Designed around your space

Bespoke any practical size or shape

Bespoke does not simply mean larger. Your Secure Store can be made narrower, shallower, longer, angled or configured around an unusual plot, boundary or access route.

Not sure which size is suitable?

Measure the largest items you need to store and allow space to move around them. NFF can help turn those requirements into a practical building footprint.

More than a standard shed

A robust building designed as a complete storage solution

Security is not created by one lock or one strengthened component. The frame, doors, walls, lining, roof and floor can all be considered together according to the intended use.

Security-focused construction

Strengthen the areas that matter most

The right specification depends on what you plan to store. NFF can strengthen the main access points, walls, lining, roof and floor where required.

01

Heavy-duty framework

A robust timber structure supports the walls, doors, lining and roof.

02

Reinforced doors

Steel-framed door options strengthen the building’s main access point.

03

Security mesh

Galvanised mesh can be concealed within the walls and doors.

04

Internal lining

Plywood lining adds another physical layer and a practical finish.

05

Windowless option

Remove glazing to conceal the contents and reduce vulnerable openings.

06

Upgraded flooring

Heavy-duty floor options can accommodate larger or heavier equipment.

Choose the right door arrangement

Doors can be positioned and sized around your equipment and available space rather than following a fixed layout.

Single door

Usually suitable for tools, general storage and individually stored bicycles.

Double doors

Better access for motorcycles, mowers and larger equipment.

Side access

Useful for narrow gardens or spaces where front access is restricted.

Multiple doors

Allows separate equipment or storage areas to be accessed independently.

Door widths, positions and quantities can be adjusted around how you need to move equipment in and out of the building.

Common questions

Secure Store FAQs

What is the difference between a Secure Store and a standard shed?

A Secure Store can include more substantial framing, reinforced doors, security mesh, internal lining, controlled glazing and upgraded flooring. The final specification is selected according to what you intend to store.

Can the building be completely windowless?

Yes. A windowless design conceals the contents and removes glazing from the external building. Ventilation can still be incorporated.

Can the doors be made wider for machinery?

Yes. Single doors, double doors and bespoke-width openings can be designed around motorcycles, mowers and other equipment.

Can the Secure Store be made to an unusual size or shape?

Yes. Bespoke can mean larger, smaller, narrower, shallower or differently shaped to suit the available space.

What type of base will I need?

The building needs a stable, level and correctly sized base. The most suitable option depends on the building dimensions, ground conditions and expected equipment weight.

Where does NFF install Secure Stores?

NFF primarily supplies and installs timber buildings across East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey and Kent, subject to site access and project requirements.
